Dinner Party Apps: Refreshing Baby Watermelon Cups with Feta and Basil
Hey, Melon Poppers. It’s 75 degrees outside — invite good friends over and have a dinner party with the perfect refreshing starter. Watermelon and feta cups are no-cook appetizers that are so easy to make it’s ridiculous, and insanely, deliciously, refreshing. Enjoy!
Serves 15
Watermelon and Feta Appetizers
2 Baby watermelons, halve
1 Cup Feta cheese, crumble
2 Tbsp. Basil leaves, pick small leaves
¼ Cup Balsamic vinegar
Salt, to taste
1. Slice each baby watermelon in half then use a melon baller to carve out rounds of the watermelon.
2. Slice a small piece from one side of the watermelon so it creates a flat surface. This will make it stable on the plate. On the other side, carve out a small groove with the melon baller so it can be filled with feta cheese.
3. Place each round on a platter, flat side down, add a small droplet of balsamic vinegar, top with feta, and add a small basil leaf. Lightly salt each melon cup and eat up!
It’s 12 deg C in Paris atm so I’m gonna have to wait for the sun to come out to try these out. They look great!
